We have 2 positions, a Sr. QA and QA.

For the Sr. QA, I need someone that is very good in testing Web applications developed in Java/JS and deployed on Apache/Tomcat. They should also be familiar with REST based API testing. Automation experience with Junit and Perl/Python is required.

Creates, prepares, and delivers quality assurance reviews and develops and executes test plans and test scripts. Works with clients to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process. May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project. Analyzes, tests, and certifies application-specific software and performs reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents. Uses functional knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving moderately complex test problems. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects. Documents all phases of the QA process.

QA Engineer,

As part of the Cloud Services team, you will be leading the quality efforts for the delivery of. As a senior QA engineer on the team, you are expected to own and drive the test plans, test case development and execution, and test automation. Prior experience with testing SaaS, IaaS or infrastructure solutions for a service provider environment is preferred. Familiarity working with REST based APIs, test frameworks and test automation is a plus.

This position also requires strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, and a good candidate is expected to provide feedback related to improving quality and mitigating risk to management and development team, and be the quality czar for the team. We expect the person to be very hands on in this role and have strengths in setting up/configuring test beds and work across remote teams in a fast paced environment.


Requirements

• BS/MS in EE/CS with a minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience as a QA engineer
• Proven track record as a lead in development or QA testing software and cloud infrastructure
• Operating system fundamentals and TCP/IP, HTTP(s) knowledge, middleware and applications
servers
• Good exposure to testing Java based applications, web services, REST-ful APIs, and Web applications
• Hands on development of test scripts and working with OS platforms (in a VMware/Xen and/or cloud environment)
• Prior experience with agile development methodology, continuous integration and automated deployments preferred
• Good capabilities in basic system and network administration for test bed/lab setup
• Exposure to testing distributed systems and applications in a Java environment. Working with platforms that support workflows and exposure to testing those is a plus
• Strong background/experience in Python or other scripting languages (perl/groovy) required
• Developing test plans, test execution and bug tracking in a fast paced environment
• Familiarity with unit, scalability/performance, and functional testing
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Jprobe, Jtest, Junit etc., would be great
